New Director of Coaching!

Carlsbad August 16, 2010

Wave FC announced today the appointment of Steve Cowell as the Director of Coaching CWFC. The new director assumes his duties immediately. President Bandis says: "Steve brings new energy to the Club and will lead the organization towards the development of the competitive side as well as the skillset within the rec side". Steve is currently coaching three boys teams and is looking forward to the new challenge. "I am delighted to take up my new post as Director of Coaching for the Carlsbad Wave FC" says the new director.

Wave FC Welcomes Rec Coaches for 2010

Welcome Day for Wave Rec Coaches was a success!!!

Our new and returning coaches attended the activities on Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Carlsbad Senior Center at Pine Street Park. The Board of Directors, our Club Registrar and Administrator and members of our Competitive Coaching staff were on hand to welcome the rec coaches.

Wave FC is looking forward to a great rec season with more than 60 teams.

Congratulations to all our Wave Teams for a fantastic performance !!!

Here are the new Encinitas Rotary Cup Champions 2010

GU10 took the Cup in a 3-1 game with Surf Academy.

BU10 took the Cup in a 5-3 final game with Encinitas Express.

BU10 Team also won the Carlsbad Cup one week earlier

BU15 took the Cup after a marathon final day of shutout games.

The Wave won NSDCFC 3-0 in the semis, and then went on to win Vista Storm 3-0 in the finals.

In the qualifying round the boys won CSC 2-0 and lost to Los Angelitos 3-2

Wave Competitive Picks Coach of the Year

News

In a fun-filled ceremony hosted by CWFC the competitive coaches recognized the achievements of the competitive teams.

Coach of the Year Award was delivered amidst thunderous applause to newly acquired coach Gwynn Williams who led both his BU13 and BU14 teams to a terrific season. Both ended in second place in their respective divisions.

BU13 brought home the Knotts Forest Cup and BU14 won the championship match at Encinitas Rotary Cup.

Thank you coach Gwynn and Congratulations!!!
